Aug. 1--Tulsa-based Helmerich & Payne Inc. reported net income Wednesday of $115.2 million, or $1.09 per diluted share, from operating revenues of $421.3 million for its third fiscal quarter ended June 30.
That compared with net income of $79.98 million, or 75 cents per diluted share, from operating revenues of $319.8 million during last year's third fiscal quarter.
Officials also announced H&P has signed two three-year contracts with an exploration and production company to operate two new FlexRigs. The name of the customer and other terms were not disclosed.
