Norse carrier Telenor got satisfaction in its New York arbitration proceeding against Alfa Group subsidiary Storm LLC in connection with Storm's alleged violations of the shareholder agreement relating to the parties' joint investment in Ukrainian mobile operator Kyivstar GSM.
Telenor is the majority owner of Kyivstar, holding 56.5 percent of the shares, while Storm holds a 43.5-percent interest. Telenor started the arbitration proceeding, governed by the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law arbitration rules, in February 2006.
