Hello golfers and all those of you out there who are thinking about taking up the game. Many of you send me e-mails regarding the South African handicap system, asking how handicaps are calculated and where to take your strokes, so this week I will discuss the system and explain how it all works.
In essence, the system is there to try and equalise all levels of player as well as to be easily understood and fair. Handicaps are adjusted according to the scores captured and it is the responsibility of all golfers to enter their scores accurately every time they play.
