A quick chat with a Naperville newsmaker
The Rotary Club of Naperville-Sunrise's Rotary Century Ride has a scenic countryside route for its 11th annual weekend charity bike ride. It's time for riders to pump up their tires and join the group headed west on a long, short or something-in-between route.
Organizer Steven Essig wants everyone to ride but encourages parents to evaluate their own child's ability to ride safely knowing that all routes are on paved roadways in Sunday morning traffic.
Q. How long are the routes?
A. We have a ride with designated rest stops for a 20-mile route, a 40-mile one, a 55-mile, an 80-mile and a 102-mile ride. Participants can go ...
