Aug. 1--DAYTON -- Corporate support for the Vectren Dayton Air Show and the planned addition of a technology and trade show in 2009 will give the show more financial stability as a buffer against rainouts in future years, its board chairman said.
"It makes it easier to get sponsors," said Michael Emoff, chairman of the United States Air & Trade Show board.
Emoff said he expects the air show, which has an annual budget of about $1.5 million, to end up in the black this year when all the bookkeeping is done. But the air show isn't a big moneymaker even in the best of years, he said.
