Aug. 2--BEAUFORT -- When school bells ring again in a few weeks, new Carteret County Public Schools Superintendent Brad Sneeden will be pushing for creativity in the classroom.
A steady rise in student performance is part of what attracted Sneeden to the job. The challenge ahead, he said, is taking that achievement to a higher level.
"We have the task of improving achievement in a school system that is already doing very well," Sneeden said. "Now, to get to that next notch, that next level we want to go to, it will be very difficult. That excellence is hard to achieve and that's what we're after. We're going to have to ...
