The Palo Alto Babe Ruth 13-year-old All-Stars found themselves in a tough spot Wednesday at the Pacific Southwest Region tournament in Richfield, Utah.
Playing Yuma, Ariz., the team that beat them last week, Palo Alto fell behind 5-2 in the fifth inning.
Not to worry. The bats that have carried Palo Alto to 12 postseason wins in 14 tries came alive, and the local team went on to a 10-5 victory in the losers bracket final.
