YONKERS, N.Y., March 23 /PRNewswire/ -- The following was released today by Consumers Union:
Consumers Union has not changed its position on the risks and benefits of using the controversial hormone, rbGH, to boost cows' milk production. A news release issued by the Dairy Coalition yesterday asserted that CU has "backed off" previous concerns.
In a statement issued this afternoon, Consumers Union said its concerns about use of rbGH remain focused on the fact that the drug offers no benefits to consumers.
