Aug. 3--Steve Crogan was a "social golfer," as he put it. He liked to play the game and was challenged by it. Never, however, did he think about matching his skills against those of others.
Heaven forbid, that would be "competitive" golf, and he wasn't ready for that. Or was he?
"I was nervous even thinking about it. I was afraid. I didn't know what caliber of tournament I could compete in," Crogan said.
