The Western Cape Education Department is confident that by the end of this week most teachers will have signed up for the second phase of the post-strike recovery plan, despite its rejection by unions.
Teachers and principals however have expressed mixed feelings about the plan with some saying they are yet to be informed about their inclusion and others saying they have implemented their own initiatives.
The plan, which comes after more than a month of striking, is an initiative to help students catch up with school work missed before the June holiday.
