Aug. 3--While a boat gives undeniable advantages to those who wish to fish, there are plenty of opportunities for what might be described as "Land Captains" around the Tampa Bay area. Perhaps more than anywhere else in the state, our region provides outstanding access to our waters from piers, bridges and docks, all at minimal cost and many free.
At the top of the list has to be the two piers of the Sunshine Skyway, the longest fishing piers in the world and probably the easiest to fish.
