Aug. 3--KNOXVILLE -- Tennessee quarterback Erik Ainge text-messaged each of his new receivers last week and gave them a three-hour window for videtape study.
"Everyone showed up," Ainge said. "That's one thing that impressed me, their will to learn."
Offseason preparation turns to preseason opportunity today when Tennessee undergoes its first practice for the 2007 season. The primary question mark for the Volunteers a year ago, Ainge is now the stable, senior leader who directed a host of new talent this summer.
