WFP to feed 60,000 people affected by flood in Nepal

Kathmandu, Aug 3 (PTI) The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has initiated an emergency humanitarian response to aid those affected by the recent floods in Nepal by providing USD 500,000 for procuring food for an estimated 60,000 people.

Since the onset of rains, the Nepal government and the Nepal Red Cross Society have worked tirelessly to address the basic needs of the people affected by floods across the nation, a press release issued by the WFP, Nepal said.
