Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) is back, and he's still upset over being turned into an amnesiac assassin by the CIA. Now he's ready to come home and confront the people who did this to him, and it's in their interest to make sure he doesn't live long enough to do so. That's the premise of "The Bourne Ultimatum" in a nutshell, which is more properly referred to as being "inspired" by Robert Ludlum's novel of the same name, rather than being based on it.
Like "Live Free and Die Hard," it offers plenty of fighting and car chases, but the similarities end there. Where the Bruce Willis film was intentionally ...
