A TEENAGE girl drowned yesterday when a speedboat carrying Army cadetscapsized in gale-force winds.

Eight cadets and four Army instructors were thrown into the sea when theircraft overturned on Loch Carnan, off South Uist.

The terrified youngsters fought to release themselves from safety harnessesfastening them to the boat and swam to the shore.

But when the group reached dry land, they realised that Kaylee McIntosh, 14,from Fyvie, Aberdeenshire, was missing.
