Aug. 4--Here's good news for fans of a loose-meat seasoned sandwich that's returning to the local market after a hiatus of more than 20 years: Des Moines-based Maid-Rite plans to open an outlet late next month in the Cafe Court at Columbia Mall, franchise co-owner Chuck Caisley said.
"This is an example of a consumer who found something years ago that he really liked and couldn't get it in the Mid-Missouri area," Caisley said.
Caisley, director of government affairs for Kansas City Power & Light, said his grandmother introduced him to Maid-Rite as a young lad, and he's been hooked ever since. He's a co-owner of Triad ...
