Aug. 5--The Crosstown Expressway isn't dead, but it's certainly on life support.

The ratings of that bridge and about 5,000 other Oklahoma bridges are as bad or worse than the bridge that collapsed in Minnesota last week, The Oklahoman found in an analysis of 2006 federal bridge data.

It would cost about $3.2 billion to replace those Oklahoma bridges, the analysis showed, but state officials say it would cost more because of the increasing price of materials.
