Aug. 5--THE SAME THREE LETTERS -- PGA -- are synonymous with professional golf in the United States.
However, while the PGA of America and the PGA Tour work closely together to grow the game of golf, the two are separate and vastly different organizations.
The PGA of America is an association comprised of 28,000 golf professionals who are recognized experts in growing, teaching and managing the game of golf. The majority of those professionals oversee the business operations at nearly 10,000 golf facilities nationwide.
