CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 28, 1995--Matritech Inc. (NASDAQ: NMPS, BSE: MPS), a biotechnology company developing novel and proprietary diagnostic and therapeutic products based upon cancer-specific nuclear matrix proteins, today announced that the National Cancer Institute (NCI) has awarded Matritech a "Small Business Innovative Research" (SBIR) grant of $100,000 to establish the clinical potential of nuclear matrix proteins (NMPs) as markers for colon cancer.
