SAN JOSE, Calif.--Mar. 27--When people think of history, Silicon Valley doesn't spring to mind as the place of memorable events. As we commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of World War II, itself very real to many living people, it's difficult to think of the 30-year sprint of technology here in historic terms, especially when many of the valley's pioneers are still active participants in its life.
