Republicans and Democrats in New Jersey's Legislature say they want to renew the state's Transportation Trust Fund, but several key lawmakers say they are unsure that Gov. Christine Todd Whitman has proposed a plan that works.
As budget hearings started yesterday in the Legislature, state senators and Assembly members from both parties questioned the Republican governor's proposal to pay for the trust fund.
