FORT WORTH, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- March 29, 1995--Radio Shack(R) has launched its first major store expansion program in nearly a decade. With more than 6,500 Radio Shack stores and dealers nationwide, the Fort Worth-based consumer electronics retailer could add as many as 500 new stores by the end of the century. Radio Shack hopes to open approximately 100 new company-owned and operated retail stores each year over the next five years as long as market conditions warrant.
