WORCESTER - A car smashed through a wall at Jerry's Hardware, 1154 West Boylston St., yesterday afternoon, injuring a customer.
Jerry LaComfora, co-owner of the hardware store, said he had just finished giving a customer a new ignition key and left the counter to make a trunk key when the car plowed into the counter where he had been standing.
The customer, Mark Branconnier, of 80 Maple St., Spencer, suffered scrapes and bruises when he apparently was struck by a shelf and its contents, according to Worcester police Sgt. John A. Bowe.
Mr. Branconnier was taken by ambulance to St. Vincent Hospital. A nursing ...
