AUGUSTA, Maine - Two hours after watching his players walk off the field with their heads down and shoulders slumped, East Side Babe Ruth coach Walter Derosier jogged toward his players, singing.
"We're going to the `ship, we're going to `ship," Derosier chanted.
After a heartbreaking 11-4 loss to host Augusta, Maine in the winners' bracket title game, East Side rallied with four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat Warwick, R.I., 5-4, and earn a rematch with Augusta in the championship round of the New England Babe Ruth 13-15-year-old New England Regional Tournament.
