It could be argued that Cuba Gooding Jr. has modeled his movie career on that of Eddie Murphy, in that the one-time Oscar-winner ("Jerry Maguire") mostly has squandered his talent and reputation on films that are, at best, lazy or misguided, and, at worst, just paychecks.
Gooding adds weight to this contention with "Daddy Day Camp," by not only starring in a sequel to the Murphy hit "Daddy Day Care," but assuming Murphy's role of Charlie Hinton, co-owner and operator of a neighborhood day care service founded by himself and his pal Phil, who was played in the original film by the funny Jeff Karlin, but is ...
