The theme for the 9th Assembly of the World Council of Churches at Porto Alegre, Brazil, "God in Your Grace Transform the World," consisted of a prayer by the church that God in his infinite grace transform his world and ours.
The New Testament witness that God graciously sent Jesus Christ into the world has to be the preeminent transforming act overshadowing every other transformation, past or future.
