Kansas City, Mo. -- The Twins needed a breather. Their lives of late consisted of white-knuckle games and wondering how that runner at third was going to score.
Nothing was working offensively. The Twins weren't getting on base. They couldn't string hits together. Power? Forget it.
On Wednesday, the Twins scored early and couldn't stop during a 11-4 drubbing of the Royals at Kauffman Stadium. It was the most runs in a game for the Twins since they outscored the White Sox 32-14 in two games on July 6.
