Aug. 13--GAPLAND -- Many people who live in the country want to own a few animals. Alice Orzechowski and Scott Hoyman, owners of Caprikorn Farms, are no different.
The couple has had pigs, cows, chickens, geese and ducks, but they settled on goats, Orzechowski said.
It's paying off.
Caprikorn Farms, located just across the line in Washington County, now has the No. 1 Saanen goat in the country for milk production, and the farm recently became Maryland's first on-farm home goat-cheese processor.
