Aug. 14--Time catches up with us all as the Austin Greyhounds found out last Saturday night in the section playoffs.
The loss to the Rochester Royals ended a streak of six straight years in the Class B State Amateur Baseball Tournament for the Greyhounds, but what a run it was during that stretch. The Hounds were in the state championship round four times and captured the title twice in 2002 and 2003.
The Austin Blue Sox have a chance to carry that championship torch, but it won't be the same at the state tourney this year without my old buddies from the Hounds. This group of characters provided me
