Developers questioned on Exeter project: Township residents want to know about a proposed deal to divert real estate taxes for a planned $100 million shopping center to pay for road improvements.

Aug. 14--The developers of a $100 million shopping center planned for Exeter Township fielded questions Monday from the public about the project.

Exeter Township is being asked to approve a tax deal that would divert real estate taxes from the shopping center to road improvements.

A hearing is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. next Monday at the Reading Country Club, 5311 Perkiomen Ave.

Monday's meeting was billed as residents' last chance to ask their questions about the proposed tax deal. More than 40 people attended.
