Aug. 15--BRANDON -- Aberdeen Central's boys' golf team competed at the Brandon Valley Invitational on Tuesday, earning a second-place finish in the seven-team field.
The Golden Eagles put together a score of 312, three strokes in back of Yankton, which also won Monday's event in Sioux Falls. Aberdeen Central, which finished third on Monday, sliced four strokes off its team score from that day. Huron was one shot in back of Aberdeen at 313.
Levi Drube and Scott Williams, with scores of 77, topped the Golden Eagles on Tuesday, tying for sixth place overall, followed by Austin Hieb and Tyler Zahn each with a 79. Individual medalist honors went to Mitchell's Eric Hieb, ...
