Cecily French had tried other diets.
She had tried eating only grapefruit. Then, for a while, only cereal. She had joined Weight Watchers and done the Atkins diet.
Nothing worked.
That is, until a few months ago, when the 43-year-old San Dimas resident started taking a new weight-loss drug called Alli and in three months lost 20 pounds.
