NORTHBRIDGE - A tied School Committee vote - 4-4 - last night killed any chances of reinstating full-day kindergarten before the start of the school year later this month.
The School Committee convened a special meeting at 6:30 p.m. after receiving a petition signed by more than 82 voters. The petition was submitted after the School Committee's vote last month to eliminate full-day kindergarten.
Dianne Mimmo, a member of Northbridge Parents for Full-Day Kindergarten, said parents do not want to drag the issue out any longer, but wanted the School Committee to provide more concrete information regarding why full-day ...
