Aug. 17--Boynton Beach The pit bulls had no food, only buckets of greenish water.
Their bones were showing and they were covered in fleas.
When they tried to stand up, they fell back down.
That's what Liz Roehrich, the city animal control supervisor, saw when she showed up in January at a home in the 100 block of Northwest Sixth Avenue.
Roehrich had received an anonymous call from a woman reporting she could see the dogs' bones.
