My organic zone 5 garden is located about as far north in Pennsylvania as you can get. I live in an area of Tioga County Pennsylvania called the Cowanesque Valley. My garden here is unique since I garden with a disability and enlist some unusual helpers. In 2001 an accident left me with three crushed vertebrae, degenerative bone disease, and permanent physical disability.
Although my physical abilities are now limited, there is very little garden work which I, or my "special helpers" cannot handle. I have re-created an old, traditional-style garden into one which accommodates my new limitations and allows me enough independence to continue gardening. With weed ...
