Upscale seafood restaurants, led by the McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurants Inc. chain, are expanding in suburban Chicago.
McCormick & Schmick's, a 68-restaurant company based in Portland, Ore., arrived here a decade ago with a location on Chestnut Street in the Gold Coast. Last year, it opened a second Chicago restaurant, on Wacker Drive near State Street.
Now McCormick is pushing into the suburbs. On Aug. 6, the company opened a branch on Higgins Road in Schaumburg. It will open another site in Oak Brook, on Butterfield Road, next week. Westfield Old Orchard shopping center in Skokie is next, with a location expected to open there by ...
