WAYNE, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 6, 1995--Toshiba is leading the mobile electronics market into the 21st century with the introduction of a breakthrough global positioning satellite (GPS) car navigation system that also serves as a CD player.
The NAV1000, scheduled to ship in October at a suggested retail price of $2,999, consists of a CD-ROM drive/CD player, LCD monitor with a five-inch color TFT screen and built-in speaker, ergonomically advanced remote control, GPS antenna, mounting hardware and EtakGuide(TM) CD-ROM software.
