According to anba: The director-general at the department of food purchases of the Syrian government, Mohsen Abdel Al Karim, showed interest in importing Brazilian foodstuffs. The information was supplied by the director at the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Sami Roumieh, who had a meeting yesterday (16) with Karim in Damascus, capital of the Arab country. "He wants to come to Brazil to get to know the food market," said Roumieh. According to him, Karim cited sugar, coffee, sardines, meats, and canned foods as the main interests of Syria.
