Aug. 19--HIGH POINT -- Jose Valencia booted what proved to be the game-winning goal with five minutes to play as host Westchester Country Day edged Gaston Christian 2-1 Saturday in the second day of the TAC vs. MAC clash.
Dylan Stone started the winning play by threading the ball in from the left. Lynwood Smith intentionally let the ball go through his legs to Valencia, who fired home the winning shot.
Gaston got on the board first in the game's 24th minute. Two minutes later, Kevin Perimeter took a throw-in from Patrick Jackson and tied the score.
