Aug. 19--Calvin Coolidge Julius Caesar Tuskahoma McLish signed with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1944 out of Oklahoma City's Central High School. He spent 15 years as a major league pitcher and almost 20 years as a major league pitching coach, and as recently as 2006 worked part-time for the Seattle Mariners as a consultant. He has interacted with 21st century players and with Kenesaw Mountain Landis, who became baseball's commissioner in 1920.
