Nayeem not unhappy with performance, braces for India clash
New Delhi, Aug 18 (PTI) Despite a defeat to start his coaching stint with the Bangladesh national team, Syed Nayeemuddin was satisfied with the performance of his boys and took the loss to Syria in a stoic fashion.
"We only got together 10 days ago and the floods in Bangladesh did not allow us to practise as a team," Nayeem, who was in charge of India on three separate occasions, said after the 0-2 defeat against the West Asians in the ONGC Nehru Cup football tournament here today.
"Syria is a very strong team but I am more or Less satisfied with the display of the team," he said.
