Aug. 20--It's not just a walk in the park. Everyone understands that maintaining and running area parks is a huge undertaking. But some residents who access the waterfront in the Tonawandas say more could be done to keep up the area so it can be enjoyed in our too-short summer season.
"I am so disappointed in the way the city and county are taking care of Niawanda and Isle View parks," one reader said in an e-mail to The Buffalo News. "I can't believe how they've let the parks go. Benches are missing parts; weeds are growing everywhere."
Niawanda Park is run by the City of Tonawanda, so Fix It contacted its Parks Department ...
