Aug. 20--In the immediate aftermath of the Aug. 1 Minneapolis bridge collapse, it seemed clear: Minnesota lawmakers should return to the state Capitol quickly to deal with transportation issues in a special session.
But, since then, things have become murkier.
State officials say the financial needs directly related to the Interstate 35W bridge collapse have been mostly addressed through emergency funding from the federal government.
