Aug. 20--FREDERICK, Md. -- Kinston starter Frank Herrmann pitched eight shutout innings as the Indians blanked Frederick, 12-0, Sunday afternoon.

Herrmann (10-6) gave up six hits while striking out four and not walking a batter. He becomes the fourth K-Tribe pitcher to win 10 games this season joining Ryan Edell (11-6, 3.48), Kevin Dixon (10-4, 3.69) and Jim Deters (10-3, 2.00). This season is the first time since 1988 that Kinston has had four 10-game winners. In 1988, Kinston won 88 games, sweeping both the first and second halves of the season in route to their first Carolina League title since 1962.
