TUSCALOOSA, Ala., April, 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Twenty Alabama residents have become the first group of team members to be hired to produce the new Mercedes-Benz all-activity vehicle at the company's plant here beginning in 1997. The announcement of the group was made at a press conference at the Bryant Conference Center in Tuscaloosa this morning by Emmett Meyer, vice president of human resources and administration for Mercedes-Benz U.S. International.
