Aug. 21--NEW YORK -- Inside Grand Central Terminal, a symbol is worth 100 years of history.
With every sculpture, light bulb and marble crevice, there's a symbol that helps tell the story of the historic building.
Employees inside Grand Central have dubbed some of these icons the "secret symbols" of the building, but a vast majority of them are in plain view to commuters as they pass through the railroad station.
One of the most prevalent of all of Grand Central's symbolic structures are the carved acorn and oak leaf clusters that are scattered throughout every nook and cranny of the building.
