THE Rolling Stones effortlessly blasted away the cobwebs on Saturdaynight as Slane Castle rattled to the gasoline riffs of Jumping Jack Flash andSatisfaction for the first time in 25 years.

Many in the crowd were veterans of that 1982 gig hoping to relive their youth -but Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood did better thanthat, evoking memories of their late '60s pomp.

Just as many fans weren't even born the last time the Stones played Slane butthey roared along to every classic hit.
