Aug. 21--More than six inches of rain fell in some spots in the Akron-Canton area over the last two days, according to the National Weather Service.
These are the 48-hour rainfalls, as calculated by highway departments and spotters, from 4 p.m. Saturday to 4 p.m. Monday, followed by the rainfall totals for the six hours after 4 p.m. Monday:
Wadsworth Airport 4.71 inches and 1.78 inches.
Portage Lakes 4.42 inches and 1.52 inches.
Alliance 3.93 inches and 2.22 inches.
Medina 3.79 inches and 1.68 inches.
