A routine fly ball turned into the most exciting play during the Eugene Emeralds' 6-2 victory over Everett on Friday, eliciting a boisterous cheer from the crowd of 3,119 at Civic Stadium.

Eugene's Kellen Kulbacki hit a high fly ball that tailed into the right-center-field gap, where Everett center fielder Gregory Halman and right fielder Welington Dotel collided. The ball deflected off the tip of Dotel's glove and skipped away from the players, who each remained motionless for a couple of seconds in an outline familiar to a police sketch artist.
