Wilsonville, Ore.- Emerick Construction Co. of Portland is the first recipient of the Safety PRIDE (Program Recognition Indicating Dedication and Excellence) status from the Oregon-Columbia Chapter of the Associated General Contractors.
The recognition program was developed and implemented in 2006 by the chapter's Safety and Health Council in partnership with Oregon OSHA. After reviewing the stringent criteria and qualifications for the PRIDE program, OR-OSHA agreed to partner with AGC and will limit scheduled inspections of PRIDE recipients to Focus Four hazards only (falls, electrocutions, struck-bys, and caught-ins).
